Overview of our Rheumatology Center
Medical care functions
Multidisciplinary medical care provision
As a specialized medical institution, we provide services for surgery, complications, drug side effects, intractable cases, and elderly patients (dementia, frailty, polypharmacy) with rheumatic diseases that cannot be handled by family doctors.
Information center
As an information center for patients and related medical institutions, we collect, analyze, and disseminate information on rheumatic diseases.
Clinical research
We actively participate in various academic conferences and research meetings both in Japan and overseas, making presentations and writing papers, and conducting joint research and clinical trials (clinical trials of drugs under development) with domestic research institutions.
Collaborating hospital system
For medical treatment, we have established a “collaborating hospital system” in which patients visit the Rheumatology Center regularly once every six months, and daily management is carried out at the nearest collaborating hospital designated as their “family doctor.”
